和藩公主

這是我們的朋友之一
他是個美國人 他的太太是台灣人 5年前認識他們之前 他們是對台灣同鄉會的活動 是偶而來 偶而不到的 但是在去年 他們看到了一本書 所以改變了他們的一生 他們夫妻兩人帶著五個孩子 到處奔跑 只為了讓更多的美國人知道台灣的處境 這次他們也全家一起去參加了!

照片是來自當晚 我們跟呂副總統在飯店前握手的時候 我的朋友一邊握手 一邊照的喔!!
我是太興奮了 忘了我也有相機哩! 我們還是在最前面的說!



I was there and was so flustered from the long drive (and bus ride), from
keeping one eye on my kids and from my wifes strange screams that when I
had the esteemed privilege of talking to VP Lu, I simply held here left hand
with my left hand and all I could think to say was "Vice President Lu, it is
nice to meet you". What a dork of me to not have something more meaningful
to say like, "We (Americans) support your struggles for Taiwan
independence," or something like that.
