Self-Actualization自我實現

Dr. Abraham Maslow coined the term “Self-Actualization” as the pinnacle in the hierarchy of human needs. 馬斯洛造了個詞「自我實現」，列為人類需求等級的頂端。

Dr. Maslow summed up the concept as: "A musician must make music, an artist must paint, a poet must write, if he is to be at peace with himself. What a man can be, he must be. This is the need we may call self-actualization ... It refers to mans desire for fulfillment, namely to the tendency for him to become actually in what he is potentially: to become everything that one is capable of becoming ..." 馬斯洛概括他的概念如下：「假如人想要找尋他內心的平靜，音樂家必須創作音樂，藝術家必須繪畫，詩人必須寫作。只要去實踐，人們能成為他們想要成為的人。這需求便是所謂的自我實現….它與人們對成就的慾望有關，也就是傾向於成為－－他潛在可能成為的人：能夠成為任何人…..」
