Taiwan is not a particularly daunting place to visit. Its crowded, and it can be confusing, but youll be pleasantly surprised at how friendly and helpful everyone is. 台灣不是特別令人怯步的拜訪地點－－擁擠，可能使人困惑，但是你將驚喜地發現每個人是如此地友善、樂於助人。

In general, Taiwanese people are not overly formal or easily offended. Furthermore, most people in Taiwan are very familiar with Western customs, so a visit to Taiwan does not necessitate a crash course in any long list of unfamiliar rules. Whats more important is to remember to bring along a generous stockpile of smiles. People in Taiwan are quite hospitable (though many may be shy or nervous when meeting a foreigner), and a friendly disposition will make up for a host of faux pas. 一般來說，台灣人並非極度地拘束或容易被冒犯。再者，大多數的台灣人對西方習俗很熟悉，所以拜訪台灣的速成課－－不需要列長又陌生規則。最重要是－－謹記面帶笑容。台灣人很好客（雖然很多可能對外國人感到害羞、緊張），而性情友善將彌補許多失禮的事。

The Taiwanese are also especially appreciative of foreign guests who are curious about their culture. An avid interest in things Chinese, and the unique aspects of Taiwanese living, will win you a lot of friends. 台灣人特別欣賞對台灣文化好奇的外國客人。對中華文化的渴望興趣，對台灣生活的獨特觀點，將使你贏得很多朋友。

1. Dress 打扮 The Taiwanese dress the same way people in the Americas and Europe do. Many keep constantly up-to-date on the latest look to stroll down the catwalks of Milan. So when packing for Taiwan, you don need to bring along your kimono or your Mao suit. 台灣人與美國人、歐洲人穿著相同。很多人不斷地跟隨最新的流行－－漫步於米蘭的伸展台。所以當你打包來台時，不需要帶你的和服或中山裝。

Fashion statements on the wilder side are not unknown here. Hippies have long since ceased to turn heads. But no matter your sartorial inclinations, a neat look is always appreciated. 狂野的表現方式並非默默無聞的。嘻皮潮流已退。但不管你的穿著愛好如何，整齊的樣子總是令人讚賞的。
